Incorrect date for the trips outside UK

Post by reema2023 » Wed Mar 22, 2023 11:50 pm

Hi All,

I just completed filling the application for Naturalisation and made the payment. After downloading the form I realised that instead of entering 24th November 2022, I entered 24th December 2022 in the form. Now there is no way to change these dates. This means that instead of a trip of 60 days I will end up having a 30 days trip outside the UK, which is incorrect. As I dont have any way to change the form, could you please suggest what is the best way to inform this to case worker? Should I write a cover letter? Would that suffice?

Even with the extra days my total number of days outside UK in last 3 years end up being 218.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks
R

Cover letter is fine, load with your other documents. Presumably your last 12 months absences are within tolerance as well.

Yes, I am a spouse of British citizen. Last 3 years = 218 days and last 1 year = 65 days.
Thanks, I will create a cover letter explaining the mistake.

I hope all pages of my passport will be sufficient for the stamps. Or should I submit P60s as others have asked?

Do you hold UK ILR? Non-EU?
Then your passport is sufficient for residency proof. P60 not required.

Yes I’m a Non-EU spouse of British citizen. I didn’t see it on the list of documents and all the stamps on passport are also visible. So hope that’s ok

Seems all good. You just need to make sure that you were present in the UK exactly 3 years ago, on the day you plan to apply.
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!
