Visit visa refusal by email

Hi all,

I was wondering if others would be willing to share their experience with receiving refusal via email for visit visa if they applied in Pakistan?

We applied for my parents in Pakistan and we today received an email from VFS saying our passports are ready for collection. We did not receive any comms from UKVI. I am reading mixed responses where some individuals who had a visa refused have shared that they received a copy of the decision letter by email before receiving the VFS email.

Keen to understand what the latest trend is, and whether the non-receipt of a refusal letter in our case can be considered a positive outcome? We won't be able collect passports until next week (due to Eid holidays).

Update when Passport received and outcome known.

So we collected the passport today and visa granted (whoop whoop). Not sure if confirms a 'policy/practice' but seems to be consistent with the pattern that if visa granted, you only get passport collection email.
