Wife's Visa Extension from Pakistan

Post by zeekay » Thu Dec 04, 2008 9:49 pm

Hi All,

I got EC under HSMP category from Pakistan in December 2006. It was for two years. My wife got dependent visa with me.

Now, I have got FLR for three years from Home Office under Judicial Review. But my wife could not apply with me for extension as she was in Pakistan. Her visa is going to expire in next two weeks. I need your advice in this regard.

I have following questions in my mind:

1. When should she apply her FLR in British embassy Islamabad?

2. Should she apply after the expiry of her current visa or she should apply before it expires?

3. What documents she would need to attach with her application. It is worth mentioning that during her two years visa, she visited UK once and lived here for 6 months.

4. I also intend to invite my mother to visit UK next year. Should we apply the both cases (mother and wife's) together? Or just apply for wife's visa first and after couple of months apply for mother's visa?

Thanks in advance.
