Pakistani ID Card still valid after British Citizenship?

Pakistani ID Card still valid after British Citizenship?

Hello all,

Apologies if this is in the wrong place but I could really do with some clarification. My wife from Pakistan gained her British citizenship and passport in January this year. She currently has a standard Pakistan issued NADRA ID card. Does this now need to be replaced with a NICOP (for overseas Pakistani’s) card to gain entry to Pakistan or will the same Pakistani ID card still be valid? Her ID card still has about 3.5 years validity on it.

Any advice would be appreciated.
