Submitting Self Assessment Tax Returns

Dear forum members,

I am making new application for British Citizenship, through ILR Route. The new application requests me to submit proof of my latest tax returns. Although, my latest tax year completed on March 31st, I still has time to file the submission to HMRC, till January 31st.

Can I therefore submit my previous year's tax returns (i.e., April, 2021 to March, 2022) with my Citizenship application, as I still have time to file submission to HMRC for my latest tax returns.
