IRP: Transitioning from Stamp1

Post by mr_peppa » Fri May 26, 2023 8:22 pm

Hello,

I'm from Russia and I started to work in February 2023 and the employment contract will be terminated on 31 of May 2023, as a result I'm discharged from probation period and the reason is not a redundancy. As far as I understand I have 1 month after that to leave the country. Unfortunately I have some unfinished business in Ireland, I had major surgery in April and I'm still recovering and I'm not sure it's a good idea to leave before completing the rehabilitation. I don't need the permission to work, just want finish my business with the doctors and leave.

To my understanding currently I have following options:
1. Ask to prolong IRP because of medical reasons, I highly doubt that this might work even including the fact that I use crutches now;
2. Apply for study visa, I really don't want to spend additional 2k euro for stuff I don't even need;
3. Apply for refugee?

Thanks for your time and suggestions!

Possibly you can try to get a Stamp 0 if you have means to support yourself?
