Manj2023 wrote: ↑Fri May 26, 2023 2:00 pmMany thanks for your explanation. So as I am only travelling to Pakistan for 10 days, if I suppose I get approval letter before my travel I can always select ceremony date after I come back from Pakistan, this way I can still use my ILR to travel and enter in UK, Please correct me if I am wrong Correct
Also lets say I get approval letter during my trip to Pakistan, as you mentioned I have 21 days to book appointment, so I am still cover if no one is at home to look at the letter. As I will be out for 10 days, so I will still have 11 days left to book appointment if the letter comes when I fly to Pakistan. Please correct me if I am wrong. Correct
Hence I am basically covered in both options.
Thanks for confirming that I need to book ceremony within 3 months. Finally if I say that my application process goes so fast that I get approval way before I travel Pakistan, I will still have option to book ceremony after I come back from Pakistan. This will still let me travel on ILR and come back to UK, as I have not attended the ceremony so I am not British citizen.
Please advise above if I am wrong in understanding. You are correct in understanding.
Manj2023 wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 11:32 amMany thanks for the clarification. So I have started filling the form.
Myself, my wife and my daughter will be applying for naturalisation together. May you please help me if I have to choose yes for below question or no. I know this has been asked several times, but I couldn't find the suitable answer
Non-applying dependants
Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time? Clearly NO unless you actually have other dependents not applying with you.
Yes or NO.
As I am applying with my dependent so do I just select YES.NO.
Manj2023 wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 11:38 pmHi All, I have filled mine and my mrs form online, now I am adding my daughter as under 18 child, but under the question registering child as british citizen it is asking me :
Are either of the parents of the child (as stated in this application) applying for naturalisation as a British citizen on an AN form?
Sorry I am not familiarise with AN form ? I am thinking to select yes as my daughter was born in Pakistan and as she is applying with me now so am I supposed to be selecting Yes to this answer.
If I then select Yes it gives me following option :
I would still like my child (as stated in this application) to be registered as a British citizen even if my own application for British citizenship is refused. in some cases it may be the case that child gets approved but not a parent. Highly unlikely but personally I would say YES, for the sake of the child
Your help will be highly appreciated.
Have you included the child with parent application or are you doing separate MN1 for child.Manj2023 wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 9:21 amAlso I have started filling naturalisation form using the below link, is this correct as I am confuse with terms AN and MN1

Hi All I have filled up all three applications now but may someone please kindly answer the above queries so that I can pay for the applications. I don't want to pay if I have done something wrong. Many thanksManj2023 wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 11:20 amMany thanks for the reply. So what I understand is that as I am filling online AN form for naturalisation. I have added my wife to the same online form. If I now select apply for applicant (child under 18), I can do that under the same account and fill the application and by doing that the form will automatically change to MN1 form I guess. I do not need to start a new login and new application.
The confusion is only there as I am reading everywhere that Registration for a child under 18 should be done separately (form MN1). Where as I have added her to the same account, but filled a separate application for her (child under 18).
So to summarise if I add her to same AN account the form will automatically change to MN1 and no issue and at the end I pay for three applications i.e. for my self, my wife and my daughter.
Finally for references for my child can I select my family friend who is a doctor and also knows her and one my friend who is a director who also knows her. I presume these are acceptable.
Many thanks for your help

The referee requirements are slightly different for childen, the professional should have been involved professionally with the child for three years. However many teacher or health professionals don't like to share their details. UKVI are aware of this. If you have to use your referees as is then attach a note if you had issues with finding an appropriate referee for the child.
Many thanks for your help
NOTE: Naturalisation/Registration isn't an immigration application, requires a minimum of documents.Manj2023 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 01, 2023 8:54 amMany thanks for the confirmation. I have now filled all three forms.
One last questions for the Gurus. When the application asks me for the travel immigration history I have only mentioned it from the day I came to UK under Tier 2 December 2015. The same immigration history was mentioned when I applied for ILR. Travel history only required for 5 years back from the application date.
Do I also have to mention travel history or immigration history before this. No.The reason why I am asking is that since 2006-2010 I was student in UK. After that I applied for Post study work visa, but then in 2012 I left UK for permanent reason.
In December 2015 I then came to UK again but under Tier 2, so in my application I only used immigration history from December 2015. I think I have done it correct but please advise if not. Only required for five years back. per above.
I work as an engineer so I am full time employed, but I also register myself as self employed as I did earn some extra money last year doing just eat. In my application I only chose full time employee and filled my employer detail. I hope this is okay. As this year I will submitting my just eat earning for last year and will pay extra tax for my self employed job. You can mention your self-employment separately. Note that employment and earnings/tax are not a requirement for the application.
Also do you have a link for all the documents that are required to submit for myself, my wife and my daughter. Once you have submitted/paid application you will receive a list of documents required.
Do I have to proof my relation with my wife again ? No - note these are treated as individual applications, there is no family or dependents concept.
Do I have to submit proof of living together ? No
Do we both have to proof our work through P60, payslips and bank statements? No
Do we still have to submit council letters, utility bills etc? No
May be I get a list of documents to upload after submission and may be I am jumping the gun here. List of documents will be highly appreciated. As mentioned above list will be provided, but documents required are normally: ADULTS: Passport,
BRP, English test (as per ILR), LITUK test (as per ILR), Referee Declarations - CHILD: refer to https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... #documents
Many thanks for your continuous help.
