SET (M) ILR online form Adequate Maintenance

Post by curiousmigrant » Wed May 24, 2023 1:55 pm

Hello everyone,

Well done and thank you for the good work being done on here.

I am about to apply for ILR set (M). My question is on the SET (M) online form. My spouse, the sponsor receives DLA for our child but we are able to qualify for the financial requirement using the £18,600 threshold. However, once you answer YES to the question ''do you or your partner receive any of the permitted benefits?'' it compels you to use Adequate Maintenance to qualify for the financial requirement. We just want to use income from employment/salary for 6 months(less documents). Is there a way to bypass this? Any thoughts are welcome. Thank you.

This is a common mistake. Answers on the form (under the finance section) will be used to evaluate your qualification path for ILR. If you answer YES to questions in that section, the system assumes you are planning to use them to qualify for ILR and generates the document list accordingly. You should only declare getting benefits under the 'public funds' sections and only if asked. Do not treat the form as 'full disclosure'

ILR SET (M) - documents

Post by curiousmigrant » Fri Jun 02, 2023 4:20 pm

Hello Senior members and every one.

Please I also have a bit of confusion concerning pay slip date and statement of account date. I have made my application on 27th May 2023 and have biometric appointment/document scanning next week. However my partner's payslips with regards to date always have payment date and period end date. For the month of April payment date is 27th April and period end date is 30th of April, for the month of May payment date is 26th of May and period end date is 31st May.

Also, for account statement: For April is from 1st April to 30th April and for May is from 1st May to 31st May.

Question
1. Which payslip and account statement do I include as the most recent ones? as I have read cases where some application gets refused because some of the dates elements in the documents submitted post date the application date.

Please I really need thoughts on this as I do not want to jeopardise the application because of a minor misdirection.

Zimba and other senior members, please assist.
Thanks

The payslip dates must be before the application date. Account statements do not matter as they simply need to show that money came in

Thank you but sorry if this question feels dumb: Which one is the pay slip date? Is it the payment date or period end date? payment date 27th April and period end date 30th April . Both dates are shown on the payslip.
Also UKVCAS just sent me a mail pushing my appointment date further by 1 month due to an Issue at their office in my chosen location. Any thoughts on how to secure a new appointment perhaps at a different
Many thanks

Both dates are shown on the payslip. Don't confuse things up, some organisations date and issue payslip before the money hits the account others date them after payment is made, therefore in my opinion whichever date does not matter, only that the said payment reflects in your bank account statements and net pay corroborates.

Many thanks
