Parent visitor visa query

Applying for parent's visitor visa for 2 years as they have been here on 6 months visa in 2020.

Please help with couple of questions;

1.
We contacted local GP to provide prescription for insulin as during Covid they were stuck here during the lockdown. GP did not charge us anything as he mentioned this is temporary patient treatment and he also registered my father details but we paid for the prescription.

Now this is the question raised in application form;

1. Have you ever been given medical treatment in the UK?
For example, if you visited a doctor, clinic or hospital, this counts as having medical treatment


Not sure what to reply, also i am worried GP didn't charge us anything for providing prescription, is it something to be worried? Should i also answer to above question as 'Yes', once you say 'Yes' then further questions are asked like GP details etc.

2.
I have bought new build property and land registry is not issued yet, is it okay to provide mortgage annual statement or anything else needs to be provided like property inspection report?

The consultation part with a GP or nurse is free.

A temporary patient is someone who is in the area for more than 24 hours and less than 3 months.

For Ref if help anyone : I applied for my mother-in-law who visited the GP on her last visit and got a prescription as well. I declared this in my new application and got a two-year visa.

New question: I need to apply for my parents who have had two 6-month visas. Last time they went out of the medication and visited the GP to get medication and they provided the prescription from back home, but the GP sent them for blood tests and in the end refused to give the medication as those were special medications and needed to be prescribed by a specialist. They returned back home because of the medication, but I found out now that the GP referred them both to the hospital while they were not here and the hospital discharged them because they never attended the hospital. Now I don't know how to declare that, as they just visited the GP and there was no charge and they never attended the hospital.

If those blood tests were taken at a hospital/the blood was sent to a hospital, then this reads like they should pay?

Why are you not taking out travel insurance for your parents? The NHS is not an alternative to travel insurance. This is the reason that British taxpayers get angry with us immigrants because foreigners who have never contributed to the system are claiming, and seeing GPs when they cannot get appointments!
When my parents come to visit, we buy travel insurance and use private Doctors! Why are you not doing this?

In England, anyone can be registered in a local GP, irrespective of their immigration status, this includes visitors. In this case they can be registered as a temporary resident. How to register with a GP surgery

When someone of a certain age (as our parents) registers with a GP, sometimes this triggers a number of checks that are conducted by the surgery/NHS, depending on the age of the parent. This can include screenings, blood tests, etc. For example, the Bowel cancer screening. They don't ask the patient if they want to be tested or their immigration status, I guess this is automatically generated by the NHS system considering the age of the patient.

The guidance mentions:

GP and nurse consultations in primary care, treatment provided by a GP and other primary care services are free of charge to all

I can suspect the tests mentioned above fall into these services.

How the NHS can afford these tests or treatment for overseas visitors is something they would need to clarify.

But yes, there are cases where the system is abused by some immigrants, and again is something that needs to be addressed by the NHS/government.

At the end the same happens even with the immigration system, that's one of the reasons why the government at times come with some draconian rules that affect everyone.

First of all, it wasn't about abusing the system, my family and I all have private care and we usually don't use the NHS. If it was abusing the system they could register with different names. So it was during the COVID and both have very specialised blood illnesses and they wanted to just pay and get the medicine. Also, their insurance from back home doesn't cover it, but I'm happy if they would charge the NHS at the top of your visa then you wouldn't be in this situation. I bet I'm paying more tax than you.
