Spanish Embassy.. again...

Post by diggerqpr » Wed Dec 10, 2008 12:31 pm

hello everyone i would like to know if anyone could advise me on what to do next.

the situation is my girlfriend is from Belarus, and is in full time employment here in the uk, with a residents permit. she has lived here 8 years in total (with one year working in the states). she applied for a visa to visit spain, went through all the hoops and costs, made to wait a month, before rejecting her with no explaination. she is now not allowed to go to any EU state, even in transit.

but the thing is she has visas in her passports, showing she's been allowed to go to france, germany, even working in the states(!!!) in the past. even the spanish allowed her entry when she was a student! so now she has a full time job she's considered not worthy of a visa or what?

they refuse to talk to her, she's been there a couple of times and they just said she should write a letter. is there a way she can actually see someone? all she wants now is for them to void the stamp on her passport.

can anyone give me some advice? i'm going to go down there with her today but i don't want to end up having a screaming match with them (i'm british but half spanish but without a spanish passport).

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why doesn't she apply for British Citizenship and end these Schengen Visa woes?

i don't know the ins and outs, she does. (reason i'm writing and not her is because she's at work and i'm off sick)but i think it's because she hasn't been working here for 5 years yet? does that make sense? she was studying before that. she said to me she can apply in 2 years?
