Online submission of supporting documents for OCI

Hi,

During my surrender certificate appointment, VFS representative mentioned that all supporting docs need to be submitted online prior to OCI VFS appointment. Do the supporting documents need to be self-attested prior to upload?

Just finished my OCI appointment today and the answer is No, supporting documents dont need to self-attested prior to uploading them. You do however need to provide self attested copies of the same docs during your VFS appointment.
