SAR Request

Post by talreh20 » Mon Jul 10, 2023 2:11 pm

Dear moderators,

I applied for Naturalisation on March 23 and it's been 4 months already. Just read on the forum about the Alias names on the SAR. I want to request SAR. However, I am not sure about the below questions. Can you please help me with the answers for the below to request SAR?

1- Explain the type of information needed and why?
2- Written confirmation that the photo identification is a true likeness? Do we have to provide that?

I don't know anyone they listed as the certifiers.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Amazonian

Thank you for your kind replies. I am requesting the SAR to see if there are any Alias names on my record. Is this a sound reason to request a detailed SAR?

Can those members who requested SAR recently advise me what they wrote to request this?

Many thanks.

Going by service time it can take up to 6months and on some applications explicitly stated not to contact HO before 6months or there won't be a response.
That others have had to go that way and found out aliases does not mean it will be same for you.
You can state reasons as it truly applies to you.

Dear All,

I have now received the email from the council saying that my ceremony appointment is booked in September. However they said to bring the home office invitation letter/email when attending the ceremony.

I haven't yet received any correspondence from the home office. I am going to get an email or the post? What if I don't get any correspondence from the office till the date approaches? How do I go about contacting home office?

Many thanks

It might take another week to receive the UKVI approval email, from postings here.

Dear Alterhase58

Thank you for your kind response. Appreciated. I'll wait for their email before booking the private ceremony for the oath.

Dear All

Finally received an email today from the home office asking me to book the appointment that the council booked already for me. I cannot thank all those who have helped me throughout my journey on this forum since 2015. It's much appreciated.

Best wishes to all those waiting for their approvals/applying in the future.

Kind regards
