I can't give you a solution to your problem and I'll leave that to others better placed to respond. What I can tell you however, is that the HO 'help line' is operated by an outside agency with staff who have limited training. I attended biometrics ukvcas 21aug. And got email confirmation of submission same day.
On 6sep recieved email from HO atlas. Stating my application is invalid as not enrolled your biometrics as required.
I called UKVCAS who stated they did everything correctly and docs were submitted to HO on21aug and emailed me to confirm and said raise complaint to HO.
Called HO line but they cannot give specific advice. Called 2times and got different advice 1- email HO equiries , 2 write letter to ILR Liverpool.
So 3 advice all different - done all three.
Has anyone else been in Such a situation. ?
How can i check actual status?
If i need to resubmit i can but its the not knowing if the error can be corrected.

Immediately raised on line complaint.
Complaint response within 20 working days.
Allocated to team leader after 2 weeks.
Recieved confirmation of approval 5-Oct.!
It was tough watching the clock tick down with no control/ contact/ updates knowing the current brp expiration at end oct. Had considered just biting the bullet and resubmitting. But held nerve till the response deadline and paid off.
Email confirmation to receive brp within 7 days.
If in doubt launch a complaint immediately as it is only process that has service metric.
