Post by Jill1404 » Wed Oct 18, 2023 11:20 pm

Hi All,
My client tried to apply for a British Passport (Naturalisation), she took the Life in the UK test on 20/Dec/2012 but the Naturalisation application online form said below - Does that mean her Life in the UK test on  20/Dec/2012 is not valid or Confused with the wording is this different life in the UK test and the Knowledge of the English language. please advise. Thank you

Knowledge of the English language. Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28 October 2013?(Required)Applicants who applied for, and obtained, settlement on or after the 28th October 2013 using an English language qualification at level B1 or above can use this as evidence of their knowledge of English language. However if this qualification was not used and accepted for their settlement application, it cannot be used for this application.Yes No

I suggest that you (the adviser) AND the applicant (your client) study the publicly/freely available official guidance for the AN application: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-guidance
Naturalisation and passport are different processes.
It would be interesting to know in what capacity you advise your client, based on information you pick up on a publicly accessible discussion board….
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

That was same question posed to OP on previous thread which is still unanswered.
Don't understand in what role OP is acting or representing the client or just a misrepresentation.
From old post it appeared OP was the one with bad TOEIC record with HO from which stems the new question on seeking naturalisation after 10years of previous refusal.

You declined to respond to the questions posed: in what capacity are you advising the client?

Based on your previous posts british-citizenship/refused-naturalisat ... l#p1602548 is this for you?
