Correction in Dependant Extension Application

Post by shikhar1705 » Tue Nov 28, 2023 2:40 pm

Hi,

I recently received ILR after 5 years on Tier 2 skilled. While filling my wife's dependant extension application, I mistakenly selected "more than 3 years" instead of "less than 3 years" for the question "What time period does CoS cover?".

I've paid the IHS for 3 years (£1,872) but cannot edit the application. Visa fee for less than 3 years is £827 vs £1,500 for my chosen option.

What's the best way to get this corrected?

Thank you for your assistance.

What's the best way to get this corrected? A cover letter or note, submitted along with other evidence supporting the application..?

Thank you for your assistance.

I have not paid for the visa application yet, just paid the IHS. Seems wrong to pay £1,500 for an application which I know should cost £827. I have the option to cancel the existing application but then I would have to wait for IHS to refund me, which seems like a hassle.
Was wondering if I can use the same IHS confirmation code for a new application? If not, can I reachout to someone at the home office to amend my existing application?
