Evidence of Maintenance of funds Date Requirement

Post by theonlyandlonely » Fri Dec 19, 2008 2:02 am

For Tier-1, General, with reference to evidence of maintenance of funds requirements, a news on official website http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/aboutus/ne ... d=10358851 says that "the evidence of personal savings may be dated no more than 1 month prior to application date"

Where as official guidelines and another official website "http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... intenance/" says that it should not be more than 7 (seven) days prior to the application date.

Which one is correct/update and which one is applicable to outside the UK candidates.

I would really appreciate your help in this regard.

Thanks

I believe the statement date for the maintenance funds to be 7 days prior to application submission is relevant to people applying outside UK. To be on the safer side it is better to stick to this statement date although one may find other information to this regard.

I think it was changed recently and it is possible that not all sources have been updated yet. As far as I am aware by the posts that were on here it is now 1 month.

I went to the VFS office here in Delhi two days back to ask few questions and they confirmed that maintenance funds can now be dated upto one month while applying from here.
