GTV stage 2 waiting for last 3 months.

Hello there,
I received my endorsement from royal society as exceptional promise at the end of august. As I applied both stages together, I'm still waiting for the second stage approval. Every time I enquire, get a reply saying the application is waiting for mandatory checks to be completed. Does anyone know what are those mandatory checks which as still pending after 3 months waiting.

Thanks for the reply. My employer is getting paranoid about the delay and whether I would get the visa or not? so far i'm unable to work due to this lengthy delay and the employer is not happy about it at all. Need suggestions if i could email/call somewhere to expedite the application process as it has already past its deadline.

No assurance you will get a response but no harm in you and or employer reaching out to ask state of things.

The stage 2 is very fast, usually quicker than the endorsement stage. But it seems you already were advised that your application is under some 'mandatory checks'. When an application is put into those additional checks, usually means it will take longer than usual to get a decision.

Nobody here can tell what sort of checks they are doing or when UKVI will complete them, the only advise is to wait patiently, and keep informed the employer on the situation.

What was your previous immigration status, did that have an ability to undertake work? If it did and you applied before the expiry of that visa your employer would be able to employ you pending the decision.
