Quitting My Job While on Stamp 1 (CSEP)

Hi,

I currently have Stamp 1 (CSEP). I'm thinking about quitting my job. I already finished the initial 12-month period. How much time can I stay in Ireland if I quit my job? I'll look for a new job that provides Stamp 1 (CSEP) in the meantime. I know that if you're laid off, you have 6 months but this case is different since you resign from your job. Appreciate your help.

Most people that I know just look for the job while they're working already.

I would not think you can stay for long when you resign - there is no reason for you to stay in Ireland as you cannot work, but I don't know for certain whether your permission will be cut short or you can just stay as is, until it expires.
