Tier 1 Rejected - Earnings Documentation - PLEASE HELP!

Post by NeedhelpTier1 » Fri Dec 19, 2008 2:05 pm

Hi,

I just received a refusal of entry on my Tier 1 application. I am coming from the US to UK. I was granted all of the points needed except for the Earnings. I provided bank statements and paycheck stubs. HOWEVER, they were rejected because each and every page was not stamped and signed by the bank and every page of my electronic printouts for my pay checks were not stamped and signed!

Can anyone tell me what my chances are of having this make it through appeals if I send in stamped and signed paycheck stubs and bank statements?

Thank you.

Were the bank statements on the bank's original stationery or were they e-statements? Not sure if you are allowed to send additional documents for admin review.

They were printouts. The Consulate sent back my paycheck stubs but not my bank statements. I am assuming that means I have an opportunity to get the documents authenticated and send them back with my appeal??

Although you cannot submit new documents during an appeal you can always give it a try and send the correct bank statements.

If they dont accept it, then you can make a fresh application with the correct bank statements if you wish. I dont think there is any restriction on making a fresh application.

My application was rejected for the same reasons. You have to get all the payslips stamped and signed. Ditto for the bank statement, all pages, and it should be on the bank's official stationery.

Dont bother with an appeal. You certainly cannot submit the incorrect documents now as you will note the refusal letter says no new documents can be submitted.

Did you get points for Maintenance Fund ?

I reapplied with proper docs on 8-dec. waiting for outcome.

Did you try sending your corrected documents in an appeal? Were they rejected? I know they say you can't send new documents but are these considered new since they are the same, just stamped this time?

PS - Yes, I did receive all of the points for the maintenance funds because those bank statements were stamped.

Give it a try mate - should not hurt unless you are in a great hurry to come to UK

Thanks for everyone's comments. I was able to find this EXTREMELY helpful document:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... idance.pdf

I wish they would have provided this information from the begining. It answered all of my questions and many of yours.

Another note to those of you going through the application process...beware, the same week the Consulate was reviewing my bank records is the same week that my identity was stolen (first time in my life) and "someone" used my bank account to purchase an online British porn subscription! I don't believe in coincedence... Keep a close eye on your bank expenses during and after the application process.
