Travelling within notice period

Post by hahao3o » Wed Dec 20, 2023 9:41 am

Hi all -

I'm lucky enough to land a new job with SWV, however I have a pre-planned three-week trip back to my home country coming up.

I'm planning to resign now to serve my notice (as it's 2 months) and go on my trip within my notice period with my annual leaves, and would only be able to apply for the new SWV once I return to the UK.

That means:
Dec: Resign with current employer
Dec - early Jan: Travel
early Jan: Apply to new SWV with new employer

My new employer/ third party visa partner is aware and will prepare my new visa work in the background while I'm out the country.

Would there be any problems? They didn't flag any but I'm suddenly getting paranoid.

From my understanding is we shouldn't travel within the curtailment period, but fine before the last day at the current employer.

Big thanks in advance!! ❤️
