Hello everyone,

We are being really early here but wanted to check something.

We are on the 5 year partner route.


Our first spouse visa was granted on 01/10/2020
Our second spouse visa was granted on 14/02/2023
This visa is due to expire 11/09/2025.

Because we applied for visas earlier than the expiry date does this mean we would not qualify for ILR as it is not at least 5 years?

If someone could help we would appreciate this!

You qualify 28 days before 5 years and it's the decision date that matters; just apply close to the expiration date and you'll be fine
