Just give the link - I must add I'm not an expert on this and can only comment generally based on what has been posted here. If it's on gov.uk then whatever they say/advise is based on the law and processes in place.CMSUK wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:25 pmhow can I attach the source? is there any attachment I can add into? its gov.uk website sourcealterhase58 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:14 pmWhat's the source?CMSUK wrote: ↑Tue Jan 02, 2024 10:11 pmwhile exploring some information I came across some says children after baptised are allowed to change their name within 12 months time by simply apply to the registrar without going into deed poll which is lengthy and costly option.

Well thanks thats what I thought so because at the end if the day its local council who i ll have to deal with so first hear them out how they respond to such situations. I did sent a email to the registrar requesting guidance and help in this regard and now waiting for their reply. let’s see what they will come up with!!!Ticktack wrote: ↑Wed Jan 03, 2024 9:34 amThis is a very unusual situation. Not many people would have experience in this regards. You're better off going back to the council and asking them how you can change your child's name. The ink on the birth certificate isn't even dry yet.
There might be a very simple solution to this issue.
