Had an ILR Since 2001 - BRP Applied for in 2023 - No decision Email.

Post by equipped2424 » Fri Jan 12, 2024 12:17 pm

Hello everyone, any help or shared experiences would eb greatly appreciated,

I've had an ILR for the UK since roughly 2001, I realised that I'd need to get this transferred to freely travel in/out of the country in 2023, specifically September 19th was when I went through the UKVCAS Biometric process and sent through all the required documents, me and my partner went through the application on the same day with 30 minute timeslots ahead of each other,

Upon entering, they allowed us to do the application right then during the same time slot,

Afterwards my partner received an email requesting for additional information regarding her BRP in roughly 2 weeks time, and received her BRP another week or two after.

I have received no such emails, and even contacted the following emails in an attempt for confirmation:

( public.enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk,
ApplyOnlineE-Support@homeoffice.gov.uk,
enquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk,
complaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk,
traveldocumentenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk,
NationalityEnquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk
brcdelivery@homeoffice.gov.uk
)

It is now January of 2024 and I've received no confirmation from the Home Office OR a Delivery letter/email.
Keep in mind this is just a SIMPLE transfer from my ILR to my BRP, has anyone had an experience similar to this? On the 19th it will be 4 months with no contact.

Thanks again.

I don't know where you got all these emails - one of them even has .gsi. in domain, which HO isn't using for a while. Did any of them bounce (you got an email saying your message cannot be delivered)?

Is your partner in the same situation (ILR since '01)?

It might not be as simple for HO to definitely acknowledge your ILR entitlement and technically you're within 6 months' timeline, so unsure if you'll get a comprehensive response.

Thank you so much for your reply, yes, my partner has also had an ILR since '01,

I understand what you're saying regarding those gsi domain emails, but I should've at least received some form of response from ApplyOnlineE-Support@homeoffice.gov.uk beyond their auto-response? Unless they consider this "acknowledgement of receipt", which they apparently do not respond to.

Also, I'm aware I'm within the 6 month timeline, just a bit concerned due tot he fact my partner has already received theirs, and been reached out to for further information when we went in at the same time!

Still, thank you so much for your response and advice,
Have a great rest of your day!
