As a British citizen immigration regulations don’t apply to you because you have an absolute right to come and go as you like.
Travel is very easy enter EU with your EU passport and UK with British passport, simple no question asked.

Thats is true. but is it also true that traveling back to the UK with SS is hassle-free under the terms of ILR?

As a general rule yes, you must travel back to the UK using the passport you got your ILR with (I assume German) and that is coupled with your UKVI account.

I should also note that as you have Italian citizenship you could use an Italian passport to travel freely to the EU as an Italian/UK citizen (which is my case). The choice is up to you, if you think that to you German citizenship is more important than UK citizenship.

So far no effects - Italian and UK citizenships can be held at the same time. I became British last October and I am a dual national. I am not aware of other consequences.

Not sure about deleting, but drafts will be deleted automatically after x number of weeks.
Sorry too hi-tech for me, I applied on paper before it was online.

It will be automatically deleted by the system if you don't login after 10 weeks. When you log in there should also be an option to cancel the application.

No they are not - it's not on the statute book yet - Bundespraesident needs to sign it. Recommend you watch the German embassy website - however they ask people not to contact them about the new law until they publish further details.
