Registration of non-UK born child as citizen by ILR parents

Post by Islam_ramadan » Wed Jan 24, 2024 1:23 am

Hi gents,

I have granted ILR on 08/01/24 and about to apply for naturalization and register my two Childs who were born here in UK back in 2019 and 2023. I have submitted fee wavier application but I dont know when the decision will be received and their BRP and skilled worker dependent visa will expire on 3rd Fen 2024. Is there any risk of overstaying or impact their registration as a British Citizen if their application is submitted after visa expired( after 3rd Feb 2024).

Thanks

IR

You should ask questions in your own thread, not under other people's. A moderator will split this.

There shouldn't be an impact on their registration but if your children have no valid visa while waiting for the outcome of registration they won't be able to use the NHS for free, so you should arrange private medical cover for them.
All advice comes from personal research and experience and should not be regarded as professional opinion.
