My son UK citizen - Apply for OCI Card

Hi All,

I am & my son are UK citizens with UK passports. I hold an OCI card. My wife Indian citizen, she holds Indian passport.

For the purpose of travel I want to apply for an OCI card to my son.

I cant show/mention my OCI card as it asks for 12 digit reference number. I dont have such number but I do have an OCI card/book number.

Can I apply on the basis my my mother in law & wife's I Indian ancestry instead?

Yes, the son can apply on basis of mother or grandmother. You will still have to mention all relatives upto to 2 generations up and evidence none of them were not ineligible.
