they might check incase of resonable doubts that the document are genuine.
hence submit only the evidence for which home office can do verification if required.

for further guidence pleas go through the Tier 1 general policy guidence.

one of my friends already in UK told me that they check your joining date, compensation details, monthly, annual income , designation and extension (seat location).. so make sure you update these in the local intranet, in case there is one where you update phone numbers etc...

Note that Integra, the 3rd party, is no longer there and BHC directly does these checksnow , so I am assuming it is a tad stricter now..

I am trying to get the HR contact whose details I could mention in the application. I am not sure how readily the HR would provide such details to an outsider.. that too when a British from the High commission calls !!.. I am worried whether the HR provides the details or not.. Does anyone have any information on this cross-checking process and what contact details to mention in the application??

Best thing for you would be to first speak to someone in HR and explain to him her re your Tier 1 application - If they get a cold call from BHC they might be reluctant to share any information at all.

Re INTEGRA how do you know that it has been scrapped? I found the following on VFS India website :
IntegraScreen Verification

Please note that if you have applied under PBS Tier 1 General Migrant or PBS Tier 1 transitional scheme, your supporting documents will be sent to Integra Screen for verification. This process can take up to two weeks. The visa process will be completed only after this verification.

For all other category of visas, applicants can avail of an optional verification process through Integra Screen. This would fast track your application. The Integra website has more details.
It might just be the case that they are still carrying out the verification but the forms specifically for INTEGRA verification are not required at all.

I had a net chat with my HR supervisor today. Told him that bank needs the HR contact details to verify my application for home loan !! I do not know and haven't seen anyone directly in HR. Mine is a big company plus HR is in another location so I could not reveal all the details directly. Some of my friends have provided their managers details and got away with it but I do not want to take chances. I think it is pretty easy to understand whether one is talking to a HR guy or an IT manager. So I am in a fix now as to how to tell the HR about my case. How do so many people get through this ? I haven't seen many posts dicussing this as well !!..
I went to VFS Delhi last week and upon asking how many copies I need to take of the originals, the guy at the counter said just 1. Earlier 2 copies were required because one set went to Integra and another to BHC. But now Integra is not involved so BHC is directly taking care of this. Perhaps this reduces the processing time because he told me that the minimum time taken to process the tier1 is 4 days and maximum could be any number of days .. May be the website is not updated yet because it seems to be a recent change.

Could be the case however I fail to understand why would they want to scrap a process which was used to verify information provided by the VISA applicants. Anyways that is not the issue here. The point is how do you ensure that whosoever contacts your office they get the correct information.

See one thing is sure, when your office/HR is contacted they will be told the purpose of query. My advice is to you is to subtly disclose to your Manager/HR that you intend to secure a Tier-1 VISA and that they should expect a verification call.

Yeah, I will check again with the HR after few days. If they agree, then fine else will ask some manager if he/she agree to do it. I checked the guidelines and it says 'An applicant must provide full contact details for each source of income he/she gives us, so we can verify all supporting documents if necessary.'.... So, it is not necessary to give a HR contact anyway.. I guess it is fine for the person to tell (if BHC asks) that he is a project manager. Any comments/problem you see with this ?
