Applied for sponsor license (priority service) & got picked for compliance check

Post by karas007 » Thu Jan 25, 2024 9:49 pm

Hi everyone,

My prospective employer applied for the sponsorship license last Monday. This Monday they received an email from HO saying they are picked for a Digital Compliance Check and should expect an invitation "shortly". Up until today, they haven't received any thing so really don't know when the interview with HO will be. This really stresses me out and they team want me to onboard soon.

Does any one know how long it usually takes to get the interview booked in?

How long from the interview should we expect a decision?

Since they paid for the priority service, should we expect the process to be a bit faster? (At this point I understand the 10-day turnaround as promised on the website is feasible, I just wanted to understand how long it generally take).

Thank you in advance for your help.

Being selected for DDC is not a random event. It means the Home Office have identified some concerns about the licence application. If the company fails the audit it will result in a refusal or a referral for a physical visit.

The questions will be a mix of confirmation of the HR systems that are required and the areas of concern will be addressed.

What type of business is the company involved in?

Thanks for the response.

The company is in the Tech industry, e.g., building mobile apps. The team is also putting HR systems and documents in place in preparation for the interview.

Do you know how long we should expect to get the interview booked in? And how long after the interview can we expect a decision?

Thank you

Average time for a digital visit is usually around two weeks from initial advisement.
Post visit decisions usually 10 working days.

Thanks so much for additional details.

The only piece of info my prospective employer has received so far was that they got selected for compliance check, and that was 1 week ago. HO hasn’t communicated when the visit would happen.

Do you know if it is expected that the date of visit will be confirmed by HO only a few days prior to the interview?

Definitely it will be confirmed. What interval prior to the interview can not be stated by persons here.

Thanks for your response. Let me try to reiterate the question. Is it expected that the interview confirmation doesn’t come with (or shortly after) the initial advisement?

There is no set date from the advisement of the digital visit. It happens when it happens. The digital visit will be communicated in advance of it happening with minimal notice. It can be rescheduled if the date offered cannot be met.
