mistake on citizenship certificate

Post by Garrick58 » Thu Feb 08, 2024 12:40 pm

Hello, my wife received her naturalisation certificate today. Her current name and surname on the certificate are correct and matching with her current passport and BRP card. However, her name at birth has mistake in middle name. We are ok with this but wanted to know if this will create any issue in her british passport application. I will enter same details as specified on certificate on her passport application to avoid discrepancy. Please suggest.

No issues - Birth certificate is not required for adult passport application. Claim to citizenship is through naturalisation.

Add: birth/maiden name is not shown on a British passport.
