Naturalisation photos

Post by boredmember » Sat Feb 10, 2024 12:02 pm

hi all,

1. we are in process of applying for our naturalisation and wonder if our photos can be digitally uploaded or we should attach physical copies to printouts?

2. Will the two references receive an email about confirming the identity or should the forms be printed by myself and get them signed?

Thanks

You print the form, attach your photo and get referees to fill in, sign and date, then you scan and upload.

There’s no point uploading photos separately they are just for the referee form, no other purpose.

No originals are loaded. The referees are not contacted (don't confuse this with the passport application which is a separate process!).
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.

You can add your photo digitally to the form and signature as well. Then upload it without printing it.

Referees are sometimes contacted, but it's not a common occurrence.

sorry one last question

once I submit the application and upload all the documents what are the next steps?

Do I need to book for a biometrics appointment? how do I check the availability for biometrics near me?

The reason I ask is we are planning to go out of country at the end of march whilst the application is being processed and want to make sure its ok

As you fill up application you will be directed to next steps including appointments.
As ut is not an immigration application, you can travel while it is in process. However note that you have a time frame within which to attend citizenship ceremony.

Naturalisation application passport

Post by boredmember » Fri Feb 16, 2024 11:22 pm

Hi,

I am in process of applying for my naturalisation and wonder if need to upload my two passports or just the recent one from my home country India.

The latest passport was issued on April 2015 - this will cover more than last 5 years.

But my previous passport has UK Visa's before 2015

Do I need to upload both or just the Latest ?

Thanks
