One question

Post by Taniafayc » Sat Mar 09, 2024 9:47 am

Hello everybody, I hope somebody can help me. We have applied for a spouse Visa for my husband to join me in the UK and have submitted all the documents and he has been to his biometrics on the 27th of February.. by chance, I saw a Reddit post last night, and it has made me feel that I may have answer the question incorrectly on the application form. The question is, “are you currently married or in a civil partnership with another person”. I selected “yes”because we are married and the next question is about previous marriages. The post I saw yesterday was advising that I should have selected ‘no’ to this question and now I’m very worried. I contacted UK visas yesterday but they said they don’t help with form filling and have now suggested I cancel the whole application.
Does anybody know which answer it is to the question we have both been married once before. Thanks for your help.

Correct answer is No if you are not married or in civil partnership with another person besides your husband whose spouse visa application is in progress.

Does anybody know which answer it is to the question we have both been married once before. Were you both divorced
from previous spouses and free to marry as at the time you went into marriage with each other?
Thanks for your help.
