Cohabition Proof for ILR Set (O) Skilled Worker Visa

Post by broski29 » Sun Mar 10, 2024 6:34 pm

Hi,

I'm on Skilled Worker Visa (prev Tier-2) approaching 5 years on this visa soon so I can apply for ILR using Set (O) route.

My wife is British born whom I've recently married in the UK after getting permission from the Home Office and Registrar.

:?: Does marrying a British while you're on Tier-2/Skilled Worker Visa has any affect on your ILR application process? i.e. any additional documents/proofs required? etc

I see some references of Cohabition proof, and consent forms signed by British partner for ILR applications in this forum- so I wonder if any of this is relevant for my case OR not - as my current route is only related to the employer (sponsor) and not spouse, and have 0 dependants.

Here's the list of documents I think are related to my set(O) route ILR application:
1. Passport Stamps
2. BRP
3. Life in the UK test pass reference number
4. Sponsor (Employer) Letter
5. Recent Payslip and Bank Statement

:?: Is the above list of documents correct or do I need to provide more for my ILR case?

Thanks

Marrying a British citizen has no effect on your ILR, so it is Irrelevant. Cohabitation evidence is only needed for dependants of the skilled workers who are applying for ILR. A main visa holder does not depend on anyone. Your documents are enough
