Hello everyone and good morning,
Please I am trying to apply for a dependant visa for my wife. I am currently on Health and Care worker visa in the UK and I will like to ask if:
1. I can submit a marriage certificate that was issued by my local government registry in Nigeria to the British high commission if this is acceptable.
2. Also i am currently living in a shared house in which the person I shared the house with is the one that rent the 2 bedroom flat with his wife living with him. He only allowed me to share the second room and I pay monthly rent to house, although, he said my wife is allowed to stay with me when she comes and I did not rent this room directly from the letting agency, I only rent it from him and he is the one that pay all the bills and his name is on all the utility bills.
- My question is will my living in this house affect my wife application because someone just told me recently that I had to rent a room that will be owned by myself and in which I have to be paying bills before I can apply for the dependant visa for my wife. I don't know if this is true because the reason i rent the current house i am living, though my name is not in the bills, is for me to be able to apply for the dependant visa for my wife but later is when someone informed me that this can't be possible in this current house i am living in.
3. For the dependant visa does my wife need an English language test because i don't think this is necessary but someone keep informing me for the purpose of the skilled worker dependent visa she need it. I am seriously confused on this and i will need your kind help.
many thanks.
