Timeline to get to UK after Tier1 EC

Hello ,

I got my HSMP approved back in August'08. Now I'm going to apply for my EC in Jan. For HSMP, the timeline to enter UK used to be 3 months. In my case, I believe HSMP will be converted to Tier1 when I apply for EC. So anyone knows what the timeline will be for TIER1 after I get my EC approved. Some says its 6 months and some anytime within the 3 years period for which EC will be approved or does it remain the same 3 months ??
