Name change on brp student visa

My name on previous educational documents were different as on my passport that's why I have changed my name on the passport and have applied for the new brp. Can anyone tell me how much time will it take. Based on my application it was showing that '"most people get their decesion within 6 months after the submission of an online application".

That 6 months is the target.

Exactly the same time (i.e 6 months) is showing if someone changes the name after marriage. And based on their application process they have got their brp after 8 weeks of biometric.

The reason I am worried is that I have booked my holidays after 10 weeks of my biometric. In state of confusion what to do.

Every application is unique, including these for a BRP replacement. UKVI will give you a response at any time within that timeframe, nobody here can predict exactly when you will receive yours. It's not a good idea to compare with others. It's also not a good idea to plan holidays when we have a pending immigration application.

Hi, are you able to get your BRP updated?
I have to do it for my wife whose BRP don't have surname and new passport created with surname after expiry. I tried to fill application for brp update but when reached on Pay tab it is showing "no payment required" and timeline showing of 6 months
