Stamp 4 Spouse of Irish Citizen Visit Northern Ireland?

My wife holds a spouse Stamp 4 via marriage to an Irish Citizen.
Can she visit Northern Ireland with me for a day trip without getting a U.K. visa as of 2024?

Not legally, no. Technically she needs to apply for a visa, as CTA only covers Irish/British citizens.

However, I don't know if she will be checked.

No, I would not risk it without the proper visa. I know the odds of being checked are very low if we drove up from Dublin for the day or went over the back roads on the border. However the consequences are not worth it & all one would need is a bit of bad luck to be checked or if something happened such as a traffic accident & then a road check etc.
