180 Dyas

Post by Nacernotts » Wed Apr 03, 2024 3:08 pm

Hello,

I trust this message finds you well.

I have a query regarding the 180-day rule, as I find myself a bit confused. Perhaps due to conflicting information I've received from a colleague. My visa was issued in November 2020, and thus far, I've spent approximately 150 days outside the country (UK) over the past four years. Could you please clarify whether the count resets annually, meaning that we allowed 180 days per year and is not rolling, or if it's a total of 180 days within the five-year period? My apologies if this question has been raised previously, as I tried to search it but couldn't get it.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Rolling calculation: the limit is max of 180 days in any 365-day period. It is not per each year or 5 years or anything like that
