Naturalisation application

Post by nanch0403 » Fri Apr 12, 2024 9:36 pm

Hi everyone,
I'm seeking suggestions regarding the 'trips outside the UK' question on the Naturalisation application.

If I visited two countries during one travel trip, should I list each country separately or combine them into one trip record and mention any additional locations visited? However, there is a character limit for the justification.

Thank you very much for your assistance!

No need to complicate, just mention the first country, count the days excluding UK outbound/inbound. What is important is your absences, not where you went.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.

You can say in the justification "see cover letter" and elaborate on multi-country trips.

Thank you for your answer.
May I also ask you regarding the last 5 year travel history, is it referring to the period from the date of application going back 5 years, or if it encompasses the entirety of the preceding 5 calendar years (e.g., from 2019 inclusive of all years up to 2024)?

Referee Enquires

Post by nanch0403 » Sun Apr 14, 2024 8:49 pm

Hi there,

I am grateful for all the suggestions/assistance provided by this forum.
I would like to confirm whether I can use a professor from a UK university, whom I know well, as my referee of professions. Additionally, I understand there is a referee declaration form – would they be able to use an e-signature for this purpose?
Many thanks

If you want to clarify, write "see cover letter" and elaborate further there on multi-country visits.
