Hi apologies in advance I am new if this isn’t the right spot to post.

My partner recently got his ILR after 10 years residency as a partner of British. We were told he could apply straight away for his citizenship, is this correct or he has to wait 12 months before applying for citizenship.
We are a little confused because nothing mentions about a 10 year residency.

Would appreciate the right guidance.

It is not about his route to ILR, ir is his being married or a partner to a British citizen that qualifies him to apply immediately after ILR instead of waiting for 12months after obtaining ILR.
