How do i tackle this situation?

Post by hamid84 » Fri Jan 02, 2009 2:07 pm

My wife came to UK as student and currently studying MBA.. I have recently got ILR... We got married in islamic way and could not get COA due to my previous status.

Her visa expires on 2 FEB 2009. I have sent off my passport to HO to get ILR via stamped on it.

We also have a 8 months old son. My question is, what can we do at this state to minimize all the risk factors involved in getting her visa extended?

We probaly have very less time left now. Please advise its making me so stressful.

Thanks

Hi Vinny,

Yes im big fan of John's posts myself and always consider his replies very usefull towards me.

The problem is i have sent my passport to Home Office to get my ILR transfered from paper to Passport thats why i could not apply for what John suggested me.

I was just wondering to know what are the other ways to extend visa without going through student route?

Since my original ILR paper is with HO, can i send copy and apply for COA? As long as i have acknolegdement letter from HO, i guess risks of being overstayer will be less.

Further suggestions vinny??
