MN1 registration for child

Time line
Child born in India in 2012( parents Indian passport holder at that time
Came to UK 2017 with parents ( tier 2 visa parents)
Mother got ILR in 2022 and child got in 2023
Mother got British citizenship in 2024feb , father Indian passport holder and not interested in British citizenship ( due to not allowing dual citizenship by Indian government)
Now my question
1. Can child apply for British citizenship alone without father’s application but with parental consent
2. Is it MN1
3. Under which category or would be - is it other- apply at the discretion of the Home Secretary

Need help as really worried now

Yes - parents have to give consent anyway, whether British or not.

But someone told that it is category- one or both of your parents is applying for British citizenship even though parents are not applying at the same time.
Therefore confused
