If the documents of the principal applicant meets the requirements, it will not be an outright refusal for all, maybe for just the applicant whose supporting document is not in order.kgls wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 7:14 pmI have applied for ILR along with my children and wife. I have indicated "NO" for all English language proficiency requirements. I am seriously worried about:
1. Will all applications be rejected?
2. Will only my application be approved, while the applications of my children and wife are rejected?
3. Will my application and those of my children be approved, while my wife's application is rejected?
4. If I receive a rejection in any of the above cases, can I reapply immediately?
5. I am on the 5-year route and applied with priority service. Tomorrow marks the fifth day since submission.
6. After realizing my wife needs to meet the requirement, we applied for the PTE HOME B1 exam, and she passed. What if the Home Office requests evidence?
7. I contacted helpline... I got no help to reach to the right caseworker... Any one has come across this scenario.. please do help.
8. if there any way to send/pass the information to home office?
Thanks for the reply, Sure, I will keep update the forum.AmazonianX wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2024 5:45 amIf the documents of the principal applicant meets the requirements, it will not be an outright refusal for all, maybe for just the applicant whose supporting document is not in order.kgls wrote: ↑Wed May 15, 2024 7:14 pmI have applied for ILR along with my children and wife. Note that as per guidance, applications are not supposed to be outrightly refused in situation as described by you, CWs are encouraged to reach out to applicant to request or clarify about missing document or incomplete information that is material to their decision making.
Hold out the hope you get contacted and supply the English language test certificate or details (albeit dated after application submission) backed by a cover letter describing what happened and may sway decision for the positive .
Keep the thread updated.
Main skilled workers do not have to meet the English language requirements but their dependants do.
