Positive changes for holders of pre Settled Status.

The British Government has announced that holders of Pre-Settled Status will receive an extension of 5 years about a month before their PSS expires, an increase from the 2 years they originally proposed.

Absence from the UK before pre settled status expires, will increase to 5 years, as opposed to the present years.

If the Home Office has sufficient tax information on an individual, they will automatically upgrade pre settled status to Settled status.
