Incountry - Confusions

Post by Junior0300 » Tue Jun 07, 2005 11:06 am

1)Can I apply for the HSMP from within the UK and then
later apply for the EC from my own country (if I get
approved)?

2)I have read in the guidance notes that a graduate
student can apply if he was graduated on the "Current
Leave".
My scenario is I have finished my graduation and then
I extended my visa to get admission in another course
which is due to start in September this year. Can I
apply for the FLR(IED) from within the UK incase I get
approved from HSMP.

3)The list of colleges mentioned on the Home Office's
website includes Private Colleges as well. Do you
accept the graduation from those Private Colleges?

1). No. However, I understand HO issues generic letters these days (i.e applicable for both in and out of country EC/FLR-IED)

2). Yes. If you have leave other than visitor

3). Yes - assuming college is approved by HO
Where there is a will there is a way.

You can email the in-country team, they can answer your questions in more depth (ops1.in-country@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk). good luck

"As long as you have been a continuos student since your graduation and
graduate to at least a bachelors degree level in the U.K. you can
swicth
from student to HSMP.
If you are approved on HSMP you can only extend your U.K. HSMP visa
whilst
in the U.K. as if you are outside you may fail the criteria of making
the
U.K. your home and also we cannot process your application without your
passport.

I hope this has been informative for you.
Work permits leave to remain team 1."
