Stamp 1G Visa to Stamp 4 (residing with spouse)

Post by ckotapia » Mon Jun 24, 2024 4:53 pm

Hi!
My partner is here in Ireland on a 1G visa which is expiring in February 2025. We will be getting married in Oct/Nov and he will then apply to switch to a stamp 4 visa. I’m getting conflicting information on the documents required for that. Do I need to prove I’ve earned €40,000 every year in the last 3 years (evidence of financial means) or is it €40,000 every year? Other people say we need to show private insurance (which he has). Just want to make sure we have everything lined up so there are no further delays.
Thanks!
