No. I don’t believe they need to provide a tuberculosis test as part of the application.
Appendix
V: Visitor
Standard Visitor: for those seeking to undertake the activities set out in Appendix Visitor: Permitted Activities, for example tourism and visiting family, usually for up to 6 months. A Standard Visitor may apply for a visit visa of six months, two, five or 10 years validity, however each stay in the UK must not exceed the permitted length of stay endorsed on the visit visa (usually six months).
Although standard visitors may be granted a multi-entry visa for more than six months, they are not applying to come to the UK for more than six months each time.
TB1. A person must provide a valid TB certificate with their application if paragraph TB2 applies,
and they are applying for entry clearance to come to the UK:
- (a) for more than 6 months, except for applications made under Appendix Ukraine Scheme; or
- (b) as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner under Appendix FM: family members; or
- (c) as a returning resident in accordance with Appendix Returning Residents.
Screening for active TB in UK migrants
Pre-entry TB screening – migrants arriving in the UK via formal visa routes
Pre-entry screening for active pulmonary TB is a requirement for migrants who apply for a visa to the UK, intend to stay for longer than 6 months and who reside in a high TB incidence country (more than 40 cases per 100,000 population).
I think for visitors, TB testing may be an additional eligibility requirement for
Visitors coming to the UK to receive private medical treatment
or
academics seeking to come to the UK for more than 6 months
only.
