Undue delay in Naturalisation Application Processing

Post by thevar » Wed Jul 03, 2024 9:47 am

Hello All,

I had applied for my Naturalisation application and submitted by Biometrics on 21.12.2023 (yes - December last year!). It has been over 6 months now but have not received any communication from Home Office. I genuinely believe my application is straightforward and have submitted all that is required for me from an application perspective - plus, there hasn't been any request for documents from the UKVI/Home Office.

Since then, I have booked tickets for an international travel for October this year and now starting to be worried about it.

1. Has anyone been in the situation before? If yes, how long did your application take?
2. Can I travel out of UK if my Naturalisation application is in progress?
3. Is there anything else (apart from waiting further) that I can do proactively?
4. Is there any email id or phone number for Home Office where I can check the status of my application?

Thanks for your guidance.

Not an isolated case.

1. Has anyone been in the situation before? If yes, how long did your application take? Quite common.
2. Can I travel out of UK if my Naturalisation application is in progress? Yes - if you have a valid BRP to enable return.
3. Is there anything else (apart from waiting further) that I can do proactively? Have a look here: suggested
steps that could be taken - note we'll only have new MPs after 4 July! viewtopic.php?f=42&t=343483

4. Is there any email id or phone number for Home Office where I can check the status of my application? Note the link above - phoning is generally useless - you can't contact caseworkers directly.

Thanks for your guidance.

Last week I emailed all emails provided in this forum. I thinks it’s help to get the decision. You also can try this way
