Not guilty verdict on traffice offence And BC Application

Post by mrzoltan » Thu Jul 18, 2024 12:51 am

Hi

I hope some one can answer this question as I am very worried about this.

I was charged with driving without due care and attention by police and received court letter to appear in magistrates court. For which I pleaded not guilty as I was wrongfully charged. Later in trial court gave a not guilty verdict so it was was acquittal.

Now do I need to declare that in my BC application? Application only has question regarding conviction. And its not a conviction but do I still need to declare it? And If I need to then will it affect the application?

Thanks you.

It is not a conviction so even when declared will have no impact on your application.

You were not guilty, so no conviction as you were innocent, so no need to declare it. You will be ok.

Thanks.

In order to declare it I have to click yes to conviction question which actually cannot be answered yes as i was not convicted. That's what is confusing me. But I have entered no as answer now so hopefully it would be fine.

The option NO you chose is correct.
