job offer withdrawn after coming to UK before starting job

What happens if you have come to the UK on skilled worker visa a few days before the job start date, and the job offer got withdrawn even before you could start working?

Can you still stay in the UK and look for a new sponsor until the curtailment letter is sent + 60 days thereafter?

I know that once you start working at a job, if you get fired you can look for another job until they send the curtailment letter + 60 days thereafter. But if your job is cancelled even before you start working, can you stay in the UK the same way?

If you're already in the UK it's possible to stay looking for another job and apply for a new visa.
