Consent form for the Home Office vs Declaration signed by Mr X to confirm consent for the Home Off

Hi,

My spouse and I received our visas on the same date, but she joined me in the UK four months after I arrived. I am now eligible to apply for ILR. Can my spouse apply with me?

From my understanding, as long as the absence is less than 180 days, it shouldn't matter when she arrived in the UK. Does the relevant date pertain to when she got the visa, like me, or the day she physically entered the UK?

Any help is appreciated.

I assume you are under the skilled worker route, so the date of entry becomes irrelevant.

Date of entry into UK matters if it is spouse visa, however if on Skilled worker visa route date to be considered is from rhe decision date as states on visa vignette, decision letter or BRP whichever is earliest.

I'm applying for ILR under Set (O) skilled worker, along with my partner and child. I've submitted my application and am now uploading documents for biometrics.

In the biometrics section, it asks me to upload the following:

1) Declaration signed by Mr x to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks

2 ) Consent form for the Home Office to request verification checks on Mr X for joint accounts or third party support

I can see the consent form and plan to sign Parts I and II, leaving Part III unsigned.

However, I'm unsure what the declaration signed by Mr. X is and where I can obtain this form. Could anyone provide guidance on this?

There is no separate declaration. I believe this declaration is ticked during submission. Only the consent form is the one that needs to be submitted

I believe that the declaration you referred is the Consent part 1 which is for the applicant to sign for the Home Office to have a verification check. This form does says as follows (as of 02/11/2024) retrieved from my application for my wife and children:

"Part 1 : Consent for the Home Office to verify application information
You (the applicant) should sign the Part 1 consent, and relevant other parties should sign Part 2 and 3, where they are relevant to your application."

However for some reason, the document check list after the application has been made does say as follow to submit as one of the 'Other documents':

"Declaration signed by Mr X to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks"

Well, even I'm not the applicant but my wife in my case but the checklist says that I need to upload the declaration signed by me for the Home Office to request verification checks, which is not right. My wife should sign the consent part 1 and I need to sign part 2 as I've provided the documents that fall under this criteria (of joint account holders, etc.)

Hi, I've my visa application in a week's time and I'm confused about the same thing. Have you/your wife provided only two consent from Part 1: signed by your wife and Part 2: signed by yourself? Is the visa application successful?

I just want to understand if I don't have to worry about this additional checklist item
